On the way home last night the above prices were good, today regular went up to 4.199 and cars were lined up almost out on the street. Glad I put a few gallons in a couple days ago! You know, a few gallons is $20.00!!

UPDATE: The Maverick actually went down 2 cents today to $3.71. Didn't see that one coming. I've seen diesel down the street at $3.89.

Everything you said is true but the way you said it totally cracked me up. It must be too early in the morning.

This is the first time I can remember that gas went down before Memorial Day. I still haven't decided if it's because it's an election year or people's reaction to the early gas spikes this year (or both). I know I've cut back on gas consumption.

Our reaction to the early gas spikes this year was to cancel a trip to San Diego (even though we weren't going in our motorhome). So we're staying local and will hit a state park next week for a few days.

It was one of the reasons I cancelled a trip to North County (San Marcos/Escondido area).

LOVE the north county. Escondido is where we typically stay. This year it would have been there or Coronado.

I have friends in the area and normally stay with one and her family in San Marcos when I'm there. I usually work the Ren Fest in Felicita Park for two weeks in the Spring and again in the Fall but I missed last Fall's and Spring's.

Hard to believe but Fred Meyer diesel continues to drop here in Bellingham. Four days ago-$4.59 then dropped to $4.23- then $4.19- then $413 and today $4.09. With our customer rewards 10 cents off that breaks the #3.99 barrier. Strange that noone else is following them so far. I still see lots of $4.59 signs. I took 80 gallons when it hit $4.19 pump price.

Got my updated MP-8 installed this morning and have average MPG programmed into my new ScanGauge D. We are off on about a 800 mile trip Tuesday.

Just returned to Florida from Lake Lure for 6 weeks. When we left Diesel was 4.15, and today it is 3.70
Reg has dropped to 3.39.
But the Great American Rip Off is still going strong.
