2002 Itasca Sunova, Jacks will deploy and touch the ground but really don't seem to apply any pressure and will not level the unit. No noticeable leaks, wondering if anyone has had similar issues?

Thanks

Hi Huberman,
Consider posting this in the Winnebago Owners Forum. On the iRV2 main page, scroll down about 1/2 way. You'll see the Owner's forums, by Brand. I suggest this because nobody knows your coach like somebody who owns one just like yours.

The question may be specific to the brand of leveling jack that is used in many models, so it would be nice to know what leveling system is being used.

Also, do you get any alarm lights?

Thanks guys, I'll double check the manufacturer info. No warning lights, other than the normal one indicating that the jacks are deployed.

Regards,

If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend checking the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. Also, if your records do not reflect that the fluid has been changed, I'd do that also.

We were experiencing similar symptoms along with 'extended' light and buzzer warnings even after I verified they were full up in cooler weather. I changed the fluid in the reservoir and that took care of both problems. I suspect our fluid had never been changed by the PO and there may have been some water contamination...who knows? Bob

Is this an automatic leveling system, or do you have to set each jack leg yourself with up/down switches? It automatic, does it say it has leveled, or does it just give up trying? In either case, can you use the manual controls to put individual jacks down further?
