LG TVs, playing wack-a-mole

I have a 2019 Discovery LXE with 3 LG tvís (model 49LK5700PUA) in the living area and 1 in the bedroom. When I turn on the main tv (the telavator) at least 1 of the other TVs also come on, sometimes 2 others, so i have to turn off the tv I donít want, and that may turn on another tv. When I do get the tv on that I want to watch and all the others off, if I turn the channel it turns on the tv over the fireplace. Then when I turn off the main tv it turns on another, so I turn that one off and it may turn on another tv. Itís like playing wack-a-mole. I have different remotes for the TVs but they all are programmed for all the TVs. Is there any way to set a remote just for the individual TVs?I have thought about unplugging the other TVs but the plugs are hard to get to.

I have Vizio's that do the same if aimed at a different tv. Ok as long as its not line of sight.

That happens on a lot of TVs in RVs. Remotes are brand specific but not TV specific. The only way I've found to solve it is to shield the remote with my hand so only one TV receives the signal.

You might want to think about unplugging your outdoor TV when not using it. I've seen them come on unintentionally and stay on for days. Your neighbors will talk bad about you if that happens. Especially if the volume is turned up.

Depends if they use IR or radio type signal. My dish box is in a cabinet with the doors closed and works fine. TV if blocked along the bottom of the set, nothing.

You need to check this. Another option is a universal remote programmed for each TV. Chuck

Problem there is that the LG's use the same program code on the universal remote.

It may help only if the IR strength of the universals is weaker.
Also, using a universal remote may limit access to different menus and functions.

Our LG has about 4 different codes, although I have not tried to program remotes using the different numbers. Chuck

After having the outside TV come on late at night by accident, I solved the problem. I had two TV's in the main cabin and one outside that all could be triggered by the one remote. I added these to the two TV's (see link) that I used the least in the main cabin. They turn off the power to the TV at the wall plug. I velcro'd the remote to the inside of a cabinet door and used it when I wanted to use the other two TV's.

I had a Samsung in my bricks and sticks that started going on and off at random times for a couple weeks. Talked to my next door neighbor and found out he had just bought a new Samsung.

We experimented and sure enough his signal was going through the walls of both our houses.

Fortunately he didn't like the TV and returned it. Problem solved.

I canít even check my outside tv right now, I canít get the door to open up (yes, itís unlocked). I have that on my punch list for my appointment next week at General RV. You would think that if they put 3 TVs in the same living space they would have thought about this problem.

Artful use of a bit of electrical tape can help alot.

Mask most of the red plastic front lens of the remote so it will be more directional. If too much, you will have to be right in front of the TV... Then cut a bit of tape off. It's a dance, but it will help alot.

33 years in the cable TV business. Customers with multiple TVs in the same room tip well for that fix...

Have never encountered that problem. Have only one TV.

This looks like it will work for me, thanks for the idea.
