After the second Michelin blew, I went to Discount Tire and told them to take all the Michelin tires, including the new spare, off of my truck. Went with Goodyear Silent Armor and never had another problem. The rear ones on my truck are almost worn out.

The only Michelin tires that will ever be under my truck is when I drive over another one that has failed.

As I said, your money and your choice.

Seems I made the right choice with my money.

I wanna say just one more thing...
and it ISN'T how good ST tire are.

Our last trip to Alaska, on the way home, I stopped to help an RVer that was changing a tire on his 5th wheel. He was really steamed. He said he bought all four NEW ST before his trip and this was his FOURTH blow-out.
No more ST's for him either.

I rest my case.

I actually can't remember how many blow-outs or separations I had. It was at least every trip or every other trip.

Dunner,
It sure can spoil a Party, can't it.

I can say, and Thank God, I've never had so much as a flat tire let alone a blow-out on my 5th wheel. Or even truck for that matter.
I've been Blessed.

That's why I built a second spare tire rack for my 5er. Didn't like the feeling of traveling with no spare for the trip home. I added a second spare to my enclosed just yesterday.

I'd rather use a good LT tire and not have to worry about carrying a spare.
I'm not too fond of changing a tire on the road anyway. Besides, it would probably be raining at the time.
Just funnin' with ya, Dunner
Happy New Year!

When I had my 5er, I can only remember one time that I had to change a road-side tire, and the AHP kinda helped me. Whoot!

I think I scared the PSIs into staying within the rubber by getting a 12 ton air/hydraulic jack and a 1/2" air impact wrench. Either that of having the letters "LT" molded into all my tires' sidewalls.
