Saw dust and wax also a cheep fire starter I have used them for years get all the friends to save the old candels and often find the big jobs at yard sales. John

I buy the fireplace fire logs when they go on sale. I then cut them into two inch slices then add one to start the camp fire. Never fails...

Most of us have home shredders to destroy the mail with free offers for new credit cards, etc. Well, a bunch of the "shreds" stuffed into an empty TP roller with some wax poured in makes one of the best starters ever. ('nother Girl Scout Leader trick)
