Wow, looks like a wall of the ocean was rolling in. Great pictures!

At first I thought it might be a "roll cloud" but after looking closer it appears attached to other clouds which makes it more like a "shelf cloud". They are in the same family of cloud types.

Roll clouds are awesome events. The shelf cloud in that pic certainly should give folks a shiver if it heading their way.

NICE PICS!

It is 13' 6", so not much room for sure! I just wonder how low it is on the curved edges.... I worried about it all the way there...

Whatever it was it sure looked black and ominous. It appeared to be a solid, stationary black wall that went all the way down to the ground and ran parallel to the highway for miles as far as the eye could see!

I saw something like that when in KS this summer.... I was just behind it. I was watching the news and looking at the weather satellite. I was hearing about bad storm damage just before us, and as I went down the freeway, I'd see the results. I slowed down to about 55 mph, and it kept moving down the freeway ahead of me until I turned south... Very scary...
