Pic on left is I-77 in VA on the way to the 2014 Nat'l Rally. Pic on right is the Sunday morning traffic outbound from Myrtle Beach. It's was bumper to bumper for miles.

Did you happen to drop in there Ramets? It's really quite interesting on the history of the First Nations and how they drove the buffalo over the cliff (it's eroded badly over the years unfortunately) many years ago and utilized every part of the animal and about their way of life pre-modern days.

Further south you would have come across Fort Macleod and the Fort - another interesting place to pop in for an hour or so to learn about the peace treaty signing and so much more history of how Canada developed. You'll notice some of the names of the heads are used for main arteries ie; Colonel Macleod = Macleod Trail. Chief Crowfoot = Crowfoot Trail etc.

Definitely worth a mini detour and short break if you enjoy learning about the area.

Have got "Skip426 @ AC for Drinks" on Oct 27, posted on the pop up calendar. Keep me posted.

Have done the buffet and stayed there a number of times. In between house purchases and discovered having an RV stop in town prior to starting a long trip forces the issue with DW on being ready for the start of a trip early and gives me a good occasion for a full working systems check.

I'm 1/4 Cherokee and an American Indian history nut ever since the book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" was published in 1970.

Here's my view of Ocean Lakes campground through my windshield here at the rally. It's been a great time and I will be sorry to leave tomorrow!

How about looking at the windshield

Here's super subie getting us and our fishing kayaks to a super remote pond in Maine.

I don't take my phone out on the water, but that little pond gave some true isolation. Pristine and perfect, not to mention 22 fish in 3 hours
