Although I didn't shoot this video, and certainly not through my windshield,
wanted to post this for anyone thinking of visiting the Pacific Northwest, and in particular Whidbey Island where I live and call home. This video is of the bridge that connects the Island to the mainland. I live about 15 maybe 20 minutes from here, and cross this bridge several times a week for shopping, errands and so forth. Living on the north end of Whidbey Island, I'm about 70 miles north of Seattle and roughly the same distance from Vancouver, British Columbia. Both places my wife and I love to visit and "play" in. We love this place, and feel fortunate to be able to call this area home. Enjoy

We were there last year. Stayed at Pioneer Trails campground in Anacortes. Nice place.

Just a tidbit, That bridge at Deception Pass is known as the "Haunted Bridge" for the number of suicides. Sad...but true.

Ya know, MR DOGPATCH, it is a shame that some among us live with such a degree of personal pain and anxiety, that they feel the only recourse open to them is suicide. Deception pass bridge is no different then many other bridges and structures that unfortunately have been used by someone bent on self destruction. I would imagine that would include the world famous Lions Gate bridge up in your neck of the woods. As some might express it.....
"It is what it is." I chose to see both bridges for what they are, beautifull and usefull structures that enhance the area they serve. I see that as a positive thing. And of course it's true!

I'm with you. I love bridges as well. This shot was from the north end coming over that bridge. Does from the side window count?
