Yes that's it but the posters were all white . Beautiful, it must of been cold when they snapped that Picture because you could see the exhaust coming out of some of the stacks.
I believe there is a ski resort near by?
Has anyone seen it that way?

Don and Dale,
Heading your way, not just soon enough. Cool:
Tim

They are not use to big rigs here but we were able to find a spot after we went over the spillway and several small bridges.(notice how narrow the roads are) You go about 1.5 miles into the park to get to the campground.

Yup that one!

Here are a few other shots. It's an absolutely gorgeous hotel. One of the original CN Hotels.
There are several rooms that are said to be haunted!

Recall back in the day there were a bunch of guys on unemployment staying in some of the rooms. The hotel had discounted the rooms to they were really reasonable.

Anyway these guys on unemployment would stay at the hotel and then catch a ride over to the Lake Louise ski area, just a short drive. I suspect some of them bartered labor for some of the room or food.

It was all going good until one of the fellows on a lark posted a sign saying "Home of the UIC Ski Team". Got picked up by a newspaper and the government of the day took a bit of a beating.

Not sure what happened to the ski team members but I believe they had to find other accommodations.
