Why not just take 93 or 95 up through Nevada. They are great drives and you avoid Salt Lake City.

I just love that part of the country. Probably because I don't live there and only get to see it infrequently.
What is that body of water you're wading in there?

That is Rogers Spring, it's closer to Overton than Boulder City, the big pond empties down into a small waterfall, very small, and carry's on down toward Lake Mead. There are a couple covered picnic tables and restrooms , makes for a nice little rest stop, also a nice place to take a dip in hot weather even though the water temp is about 85 degrees.

I'm looking on the map and this does look doable, coming in through Henderson an skirting the edge of Vegas,...........we just might try this route when we go up for July 4th week........Thanks,

If you go up US 93 look for NV 318 at Ash Fork, it is shorter into Ely and is a very good road.

Oh man, I love the concept of this thread. We are new to a MH and I just told my wife - MY God, look at that picture window!
Nothing fantastic for us yet, but just wait!

Not quite looking out the windshield, but same view. Recent trip down to Elephant Butte State Park in southern NM. It is the largest lake in NM, really just a wide dammed portion of the Rio Grande river, located just north of Truth or Consequences, NM. View from our camping spot, the actual water is about 1/4 mile walk since lake level is low past few years:

I should remember
Help me out. I can't seem to remember where we were when I took this pix. I think it was east of the Mississippi, but no landmarks. Peter

I didnt get a picture of it but I seen a big fancy class A roll through town the other day. They always get my attention because I want one. Anyway I thought the front looked funny. As they passed I could see the generator sticking out about a foot.
