We split our time between Hearthside Grove and Petoskey Motorcoach Resort (no longer a MH-only park).

This is one of those places that reserves out a year in advance, we were lucky to reserve this spot about 5 months ago, for last weekend. We actually had a different site each night because no site had two consecutive nights available.
I just looked, no beachside sites currently available through August of 2017.
I am going to make reservation now for whenever I can go. It is only about 11/2 hours from me.

Well, we encountered a weird one. We stopped in Sayre, OK to dump and wash the windshield. Shortly after we went back on the highway, it looked like a truck had splattered the windshield with mud. I tried the wipers and that just smeared things really well, limped into Elk City where DH worked on rewashing the window. The Culprit? A swarm of mosquitos. I've never seen anything like it. I'd have taken a pic except it was dark. Really odd, and really gross!!

Here's some warmer weather. Should hit 70 here in Palm Desert today. Unseasonably cool for this time of year.

Here's one that includes warm weather, an ocean, furry love, AND... still is in keeping with "Looking Out the Windshield". If this pic were a country song, it'd be the best ever!

Starting October 30, I made a cross-country (at least 2/3 of it) trip from L.A. to Illinois.

The photos below are: 1. Interstate 40 in Arizona. 2. Interstate 40 east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. 3. The road from Kayenta, Arizona to Monument Valley.

Welcome to our desert! It's definitely unseasonably cool AND rainy. But still probably the best weather in the country right now.
