Looking at Coachmen and Thor, need advice

Hi everyone, Can anyone out there give me any feedback as this is my first RV purchase. Done a ton of research, been to shows, etc, but would love to hear from others that actually know the quality and reputation of each.

Looking at "Thor Four Winds 28a or 28z" and the other one is "Coachmen Freelander QB-LTD".

We have ruled out Class A for now, we will upgrade to that in the future.

Also, thoughts on Ford vs Chevy. Any advice, insight or info on either?

Thank you!!

Can't comment on Thor's Class C's as I've not owned one. My second RV was a used '02 Coachman Santara 31KS with the 1st generation Ford V-10. Onlu had 20 k on it. Pound for pound it was the best RVs I've owned. We got great gas mileage, 8.5 to 11 mpg and I never had even the slightest amount of the problems that were associated with the 1st generation head problems. It was such a good unit, that when I traded it for a used Class A in '06 it resold before we could get it unloaded and our stuff moved out of it while we were parked out on the transfer lot.

"Buy your last RV first" was a lesson I learned the hard way.
