The OP doesn't have 120v available unless he also carries a portable generator as well as a compressor, so 12v is pretty much a firm requirement.

Thank you everone for your thoughts I do have a generator it's a Honda 3000,very heavy would like to sell anybody interested

and get the Honda 2000 companion,I do have a small compressor but the 3000 is to heavy for me to move around.

basically outside of spending $500 for a quality 12v setup... 110 is the way to go.

Guys I have a 3000Big red the best unit around ...Bar none...I made a rack for the back end and can run elect. heat going down the road as I do to warm the 5er up for the night.And I agree a 110volt air unit makes a lot more sence...But a 3000 is better than a 2000 also

I've been using a Harbor Freight 150psi, 12V, high volume air compressor for 4 years now. It gets very hot, as the owners manual states., when airing up a rear tractor tire -high volume, low pressure; and also when airing up a truck tire. It gets too hot to touch at times, but has never failed me. I use mine at home and on the farm, as well as carry it in the RV when we leave home. Back when I bought mine it was $39.99, they are now $59.99. I think the 2 yr extended service contract was $10 at that time.

Hi John the Bushman I am looking to buy eu2000i companion so later I can buy one more and have 4000w.
The 3000 is better but heavy to much to put and out of the truck
all the time.

it is not a companion... just a standard. I have the 30amp parallel setup though. The genny has less than 10hrs and the parallel is NIB.

I have the big Harbor Freight 12v pump that looks like the Viair. The big difference between these pumps and the normal 12v pumps is that they do not plug into the cigarette lighter, they have alligator clamps that go in the battery.
