Hello everyone:
I have use previously a couple of portable air pumps which are already history.
Even I follow the instructions to the T they
stopped working.Is there any thing new on the market?I'll use to re-inflate my RV tires before
leaving CG and emergencies.Anyone had experience with Black and Decker,"Air Station
Inflator AS1300",or other suggestions,please,

Your best bet is getting a 120V pancake type compressor...larger but stronger

You might want to consider this one.. I wired a 120V outlet to the bay so I don't even have to move it. With 2, 25' coiled hoses I can reach anywhere. I even use it to clean crumb's and dust out of tight places

If you have a generator on the RV, get a small 120V compressor. If you have only 12v, you need something better than the ones most of the stores carry. Off-road guys need rugged pumps for their big tires - check out this article on the merits of various 12v Air Compressors. A decent one isn't cheap, though.

Yes there is an excellent pump out there that is 12v and very reliable. They are primarily used by the 4x4 rock climbers etc. You have huge tires which you air down to as low as 9 psi. When it's time to get back on the road you need to air up. Some use nitrogen canister but other carry or have mounted a 12v air pump. These pumps are also used to run the axle lockers and even air tools.

I mounted mine under the hood of my jeep and use it all the time to air up my 33"x12x15's. When I had a stem leak in the motor home I used it to take the tire from 0 psi to 80 psi, no problem.

I have since bought one for the MH to have when I don't tow the toad. They can also be used when you bust a bead, not that uncommon on a rock crawler to air the tire back up. The 200 series are great pumps due a search for best price.

All good advice. What do you want, you really do get what you pay for ya'know. Harbor Freight sells a 12V-150psi hig volume air compressor for $70, or, you can buy very dependable high dollar 12V rugged service air compressors costing up to $600.

I would not recommend a smaller one with the large high pressure RV tires. My harbor freight pump could not fill a single RV tire.

Forest, did you buy the compressor in that Harbor Freight link? I was suspect when reading the advertising.

Yes, I ended up with a 200 series Viair like I have had in the Jeep for 3 years. Most of the cheap products you see are just that, cheap. When the tire pressure increase they do what ever they do and quit, for good.

I tossed it and got the Viair.
