Looking for help

I have a 2012 puma 30' bumper hitch trailer with 2 slide outs. Recently while camping we noticed a soft spot in the floor right in front of the living room slide out, the soft area is not near any plumbing in the camper. Any advice as to what might be causing this ?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

I've watched YouTube videos of this. Water will find the darnest ways to get from some spot up in the roof to some crazy spot 2030 feet away but it will manage and it'll keep doing it and that's how your floor rots out from the slider. Before doing this you might want to pull up any rugs to verify the direction from where the rot came from if that's possible. Just because others have had to take the slider off to repair doesn't mean you will have to also.

It needs to have all rot replaced. And then all new seals on the slider.

I'll go see if I can find that video post it. I'm hoping I'm wrong

Course I can't find the exact ones but this gives you a pretty good idea of what you could expect.

I have a couple of other threads going. One was about comprising the integrity of the roof for solar. The other was was it worth having toppers over the sliders, I was wondering if you had toppers? It was that series of questions that first lead me to those videos.

Others explained how the leave and twigs will damage the seals, so it was worth it to many of them, unless you intend on climbing a ladder every time you want close the slider.
