Looking for some assistance

I do a lot of dry camping at the race tracks (Nascar) and am using two EU 2000i Honda generators in tandem to supply my electrical power. I have heard that you can use an outboard motor tank (5 gallon) with a hose system to feed both generators and give you an extended fuel supply. I looked this up on the net and was able to find a couple of sources that showed how to build this system, but found the instructions were just not that well written and they were quite different from each other. One showed the system with a primer bulb and the other with none. I have obtained the two additional Honda fuel caps as the instructions suggested. Has anybody built this system and if so can you give me some advice and instruction. I have one other question. Do you think it would be a good idea to use synthetic oil in the Honda's where they low idle so much. Thank you in advance. By the way these generators work great and are so quiet.

When we had a Hi-Lo tt we carried 2 Honda 2000i's in a box mounted on hitch on rear of the TT. I looked at the Duel fuel system. They just didn't seem worth 100 bucks to me. So I bought two extra fuel caps for the generators. Some hose, clamps, metal "T" to split hose to both gennies and experimented until I got it to work. Using one 5 gallon plastic marine tank I could run both gererators all nite without running out of fuel. At 1st my thought was I'd need two tanks, but didn't. Hint. Fill both hondas with gas, then connect the hose and gently pump bulb. Now start both gennies. think I had maybe 10 bucks in the segt up. enjoy.

There is a Yahoo Honda Generator group that will have all the info, along with photo's and diagram's.
