Looking for Trip Advice

We will be leaving Orlando FL area on Friday heading back to Indiana. GPS routed us down here through the Smokies, I'd rather not go back that way (too many ups and downs). Can anyone suggest a route they have taken from FL to Louisville KY, Cincinnati OH or similar area with more flat land and fewer hills? I don't mind a few extra miles.

If you go up to the pan handle you can take 231 out of Tallahassee to Montgomery AL and then pick up 65. That will take you all the way to Nashville. If you want to miss even more of the mountains you can go over to Memphis and take 55 north to 57 and then 57 into Illinois.

Google maps would give you a good overview.

You have to pick up 231 off of I10 west out of Tallahassee.

My favorite way south
