The state of Washington came in 23 on the list with the average auto policy costing $1,584, a cool $1000 less than Louisiana

I wonder how the cost of an average policy is established. I live in Montana, and have full coverage State Farm insurance on our Open Road motorhome, Ford Ranger pickup, and Honda CRV car. The combined premium for all three of these vehicles is less than the average policy price that is stated for Montana. Prior to moving to Montana, we resided in California, and the insurance rates for the same vehicles are less here, than we were paying there, for the same coverage. We are not a full time RV'rs, and do not live in the motorhome.

All I know is what is published on the net. Only checked one source. Second and third vehicles do not add much to a policy. I have two cars and the motorhome and am paying just over $1600 a year in NYS, with much higher than required liability, comp, and other extras.

Please remember: No insurance company or agent is your friend. Get the best possible deal and when they raise that rate, time to look again. Loyalty years for customers are over.
