Mail Service with PHYSICAL location in Tampa

Met an RV couple and talked about mail service. They said to check the reviews as some mail services will hold all your mail for up to 3 months after you discontinue the service. (WHAT??) She also suggested finding a branch with a physical location that wouldn't charge you for picking up mail. Finally, she said their is such a place in Tampa, FL but I didn't get the name of the place before we parted ways.

Anyone?

Thanks!

I’ll second the suggestion to collect more information. There’s a lot written here about mail services.

Some of what you heard is a distorted version of postal regulations. Which apply equally to all CMRA businesses.

“Form 1583 on file at the CMRA and the Post Office, obligates the CMRA to accept its customer's mail and retain it for collection or re-mail it to the addressee, prepaid with new postage for at least 6 months after the termination date of the agency relationship between the CMRA and addressee. The CMRA and their customers agree that all mail delivered to the agency will require new postage when re-deposited in the mail”

We use SBI and are well satisfied.

UPS Store will receive your mail, it's a "physical location" although it may show up on a directory as a PMB, and they charge you a yearly fee for services but there's no charge for you to walk in and pick up mail. No one is going to provide the Personal Mail Box service completely for free.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

We're not using a mail forwarding service so can't comment on that. Noticed you are new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks

We are using the heck out of IRV2 with our "new" Fiver. Love when we can get on the road. Going full time in November. :-)

Have a great day!

About UPS Store. They're associated with UPS but not owned or operated by UPS and the quality of service depends on the operators. We used a UPS Store in Hillsborough for about five years and it was great until it was sold and the new operators couldn't find their posteriors with a map.

Since we have our mail sent to us we went with St. Brendans https://www.sbimailservice.com and it's been fine.

We are using a UPS Store in Delaware Ohio. It has only been 3 months so far no problems they box it up and ship to our campground. After 1 November when we hit the road for the next 8 months, will be the real test.

I have been using the Escapees mail forwarding service for many years. I use the So Dakota address but they have a FL and TX address too. No problems.
