Make sure your fire detector is working!!

Please check your fire detectors. Doesn't take long for one to go up in flames. Glad they are safe!

My wife sets it off frequently with the toaster. I tell her it's a good thing.

No doubt that one is a total loss. I've never heard of a computer printer starting a fire. But then, I guess there's a lot of things I've never heard of. My sympathy to these folks on their loss. At best it's going to be a PIA to get everything replaced.

ROFL... Wife snapped the kingpin on her euro rocker the other night (2 nights ago) and the closest fit was a bolt left over from some repairs on my Blue Ox True-Center. Well I had to slice the head off that bolt and THAT tested the smoke detector rather well.

I will get a better fitting pin later.

Which law is that? I've suggested multiple fire extinguishers but know of no law requiring but one in the average coach/TT/5er.

Second question. Why would I put a fire extinguisher by the dinette table (where the detector is) instead of by the exit door. All fire safety materials I've ever read say to go to the exit to know you're safe, then decide if you can fight the fire with the exit at your back. A conscious desicion to put yourself back in danger.
