Man, that Rejex stuff is great!
Back in September I picked up a load of Lovebugs on the front cap of the 5er, didn't know what they were so left them on a few days, and thought I would never get them off! I finally used 1500 grain wet sandpaper and got the stains out of the finish. I had bought a bottle of Rejex at a True Value Hardware in Birmingham. We were getting ready for a trip to Maggie Valley, NC in october so I thought this would be a good time to test the Rejex. After getting the bug juice off, I thoroughly cleaned the entire front cap and applied a coat of Rejex. I was amazed at how good it looked, maybe better than new! We went to NC and on arrival I only found a few bugs on the front, and a little water and a soft brush instantly removed them! Same thing after returning to MS. I realize that it hasn't had the ultimate test (the lovebugs) but I'm really happy with the results so far. I'll probably give it another coat before we start traveling next spring, since the guy at Rejex said it would normally last 6 months to a year. Give it a try, I think you'll be as pleased as I was!

Hey Joe, I don't want to be one that said I told you so but I did along with several other ReJex users. I actually apply it about every three months during "prime" bug season and certainly before getting into the Love Bugs. I apply it to my windshield also, better than Rain-X.
I pray Annette is doing well.

I have had a bottle of Rejex sitting on my shelf for the past couple of years not knowing the benefit of using the product. I got a handle on it now.
I hope the stuff doesn't have an expiration date.

RejeX has an approximate shelf life of 2 years but it depends on how you store it.

Glad to hear you solved the bug problem. I remember when you, jminyard, posted a thread about the Love Bug problem. I live in Florida where the Love Bugs come out every year around May and then again in September. Their around for about a month each time. Love Bugs are a little harder to remove than other bugs but if you're prepared it's not a problem. I also wax the front cap several times during that period and wash them off with water and a wet towel when done traveling for the day. It only take a few minutes to wash them off that way.

Hi Jim! Yeah, you were right. Just wish I had done it sooner. I spent several hours getting that lovebug juice out of my finish! Good to hear from you. Give Judy our best! Thanks!

I use Turtle Wax "Ice" wash soap when I wash my motorhome. If you don't wait several weeks and let those bugs dry on, it will usually float them right off. Rinses pretty much streak free also.
