Thumbs up Manufacturer vs Dealership

What is your experience purchasing for the Manufacturer
or
purchasing form the Dealership?

If I were to purchase used I would go to a dealership rather than a private sale.

We are seriously considering purchasing new as we will be living in our 5th wheel fulltime.

Thank you for all your insight.

I am not sure you can purchase directly from most manufacturers. You might want to investigate this further before settling on a specific rig

I believe that Nexus may be the only manufacturer that will let you purchase direct!

Dealerships may put you below their customers when it comes to maintenance, warranty or not. It seems to be a standard practice in the industry.

We bought our Casita travel trailer direct from the manufacturer, but that is because they don’t sell any other way. We were experienced owners and could fix most things that might happen, but the little fiberglass campers just don’t have much to go wrong!

not too sure about making your best deal the last one. doesn’t sound too smart. i bought a 2014 forestriver sierra 370RDOK for $30K and i just seen two online at two different dealers. one for $44.9K and one for $47K. Mine was used for 3 months and the guy decided to do ministry full time. this thing is like brand new. dealer probably could have sold it for $50K pretty easy. Click image for larger version

There are few manufacturers who will sell direct but you said full time.

Take a look at the Luxe by the RV Factory their marketing plan is direct to the consumer.

Then there is New Horizons one of the best 5th wheels available if you have the budget.

Don't forget Spacecraft.

Nexus is in the process of shifting to a deal sales channel rather than direct. A few other small manufacturers have direct sales only, but most will require you to buy a new one through a dealer. Even if they have a factory delivery option, you would still order and pay through a dealer.
