May not be the place for this,,,, but

It seems the grammar is getting worse all the time with posters in all forums, not just here.

We have never went rather than we have never gone or we never went

One of my faves:
I would rather have him kiss me then shoot me
I would rather have him kiss me than shoot me

I could go on and on but really wonder how this gets to be the way it is, do they not teach this in schools anymore and if they don't, they did indeed when 99% of us posting here attended school

And now you may begin to pick this post apart

I agree, but lack of interest in school is only part of the problem. If the kids don't continue to read, especially well-written books, then this lack of linguistic and grammatical accuracy is to be expected. I seen it happen all the time.

In all seriousness, I used to be pretty picky on grammer also, but with the advent of shorthand texting, people can get a lot more across in a shorter amount of time and limited number of characters.
At this point I really don't care that much as long as I can read the post and know what the poster is trying to get across.
U no wat i mean?

Plus they take a hundred word post and do not use paragraphs, punctuation or spacing.

It is very hard to read if the spacing is not part of the overall post.

I always find it sad that the only way can feel better about themselves is to put others down. People come on forums to get help or help others . Not to take an English class.

Sorry I'm not hung up on grammar. I know to many people that cant spell worth beans, not the most well spoken but live very respectful lives.

Yes I'm on my soap Box!

I agree!

However "UAWNE" is far worse, and far more confusing, than using poor grammar! .....(using acronyms with no explanation)
