MCD Solar Shade (Front Glass)

All of a sudden our MCD Solar Shade on they front window now only wants to go 1/2 way up, any suggestions? Have gone through the booklet provided but found no where in the troubleshooting what I would consider a solution/fix.

Thanks

Have you tried reprogramming the shade? If not find the program button (should be at the end of assmy.) press and hold for 3-5 seconds and then run the shade all the way down and then all the way up without stopping during descend or ascending the shade.

I would try reprogramming as stated above.
Note that you have to program it first with the ignition switch on (to set the down limit) and then program it for full up and down. You have to go through the entire procedure.
If you don't have the manual I would check the web site or call MCD and have them email you one.

Have had the same problem. I found if you run up and down sometimes
It will correct itself. Also when it is down as far as the power will take it,
gently pull it down to the dash. Then run all the way up.
I like to leave down around. 18" or so when driving, but wil jiggle up
While driving.we just pull down manually.

Mines doing the same thing too. I talked with the MCD shade factory rep at the Tampa RV show about it. They had a new revised (easier to understand) programming procedure. One thing the rep stressed was the need to do the WHOLE reprogramming procedures. A quick email to MCD will get you the revised programming instructions.
