McMahons RV in Morgan Hill, CA

Well, that didn't take long. They're gone.

Not surprised. The yelp reviews of that facility were pretty bad.

My DW and I went there to look at the new Monaco coaches and they treated us so badly we left quite angry and disgusted.

'Nother one bites the dust.......

I'm not surprised. We went to check out their Monacos a couple of months ago. The salesman we talked to was quite rude, and we left thinking that even if they a had coach we liked (they didn't), we wouldn't deal with them anyway.

On the other hand, when we went by Grin's, also in Morgan Hill, just to look at what they had, (fivers and TTs, used MHs) they were pleasant, let us poke around where we wanted to, answered our questions without pressure, and we had a very positive experience. I could see doing business with them if I wanted a new fiver.

Motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers are large purchases, sometimes extremely large. It takes time and a lot of looking to figure out what you want, what you need, and what you can afford. Treating people like trash just because they aren't there to "buy today" is not a good business model, they won't come back when they *are* ready to make a purchase. I know I would be willing to drive, or fly 200+ miles to purchase an RV from a different dealership if the one found closest to me acted like the people at McMahons.

Is this one connected to the McMahons in Palm Springs? They have had a used diesel pusher that we have asked information on and in two months they have not replied. We have both e-mails them and talked to a 'real' person on the phone. Guess that they are not interested in selling to a person from 'out of state'. We will be looking at MH's while we are one vacation this spring and guess that we can scratch McMahons off the list of places to visit.
Thank you the information.

McMahons has several dealerships on the West Coast and Arizona. I've seen at least one other thread regarding them, McMahon's RV Deceptive Trade Practices - iRV2 Forums. Their website is still active, so I suspect it is just the Morgan Hill branch that is closed. If you are going to be anywhere near Grass Valley, you might want to check out DiMartini RV Sales, we've heard a lot of nice things about them. Good luck finding your new coach!

I have been watching their site and yes we will be in central CA this spring. On our last trip outside, we parked next to a person that had just bought an RV from DiMartini and they were very please on how they were treated.
