Question Medical Insurance while in Canada

Being on medicare with an advantage supplement, I discover that these plans do not provide for medical insurance coverage while traveling in Canada. I am looking for insurance options. Please provide any suggestions.. Thank you

Thank you,

Some Credit Cards offer a travel insurance package, most have stay limits.
Auto club here in B.C. has an insurance branch , AAA in US my offer the same. Snowbird Mediquote in Calgary Alberta , is an insurance broker for Canadians traveling in the US. I don't know if they offer anything for US resident traveling in Canada. Just about any travel agent in your town should be able to give you a lead on companies that offer travel insurance packages.

MY UHC Advantage plan provides Worldwide coverage. I called UHC and verified as we are traveling to Canada this summer.

Learned this week Mayo in AZ is NOT accepting the Advantage policies. Investigated deeper, and I have my hubby opting out. When Mayo doesn't accept an insurance that is a clear sign the insurance policy stinks.

Check the AAA website (you may have to be a member to get deep into the site). We bought medical insurance last year for a trip into Canada, and found that AAA has insurance for all sort of travel variations, and different levels of coverage. However, it's not cheap.
