You kind of knew he was like that. It's something even actors can't hide.

My uncle was a top C&W singer in the early and mid 70's winning male vocalist of the year and song of the year a couple or three years. I got back stage during all concerts, met and partied with a number of other C&W singers. (George Jones, Ray Price, Conway Twitty, Charlie Daniels, Glen Cambell to name a few) My biggest claim to fame is that got to talk with Lorette Lynn on her bus with just her and me. She invited us to Lorette Lynn Ranch and gave me phone number to the main house. She is one of the nicest and down to earth people you could ever meet. That was forty years ago.

Your right, she is a very nice lady. We just got back from her ranch a couple weeks ago. For the last 32 years she has hosted the national amateur motocross championships. My kids have been invited their the last few years and she greets the riders every year. Nice area, nice lady and nice campground.

Well...Almost...

When my DW were on our honeymoon in our 1970 European model VW Camper bus, we went to Taos, NM to see the sites. Everywhere we went in Taos all of the people said, "Did you see JOHN WAYNE, DID YOU SEE JOHN WAYNE?"

We apparently followed him all over Taos and we never DID see: "JOHN WAYNE"!

I did have a friend that was in "The Cowboys" with him though!
