The program sounds like a Win Win situation for every one.

If you would like to see the original post, log onto the FMCA RV Forum. On the main page scroll down to the bottom. The topic is General XXXXXXX Forum. It is a couple of topics up from the bottom of the main menu. As of the time of this post, the FMCA site remains down.

The $1,600 savings would be $266.66 a Tire.
No mention what the original price was to start.

A $495.00 each ends up $228.34 each out the door, a very good deal.
A $650.00 each ends up $383.84 still not a bad deal.

A $1600 savings means nothing without a starting price.

The real story is the out the door price for 6 MH tires.

The FMCA web site has begun operating again. FMCA and Michelin are working out the details and processes. When completed, the program will be announced.

For me, if I need tires right now, I'd still call the contacts in the OP. It is a win win. Those needing tires get a good price and those needing a sale get revenue.

I got on the FMCA site late last night and again this morning. No additional info in the forum there, nor any confirmation from FMCA itself. A moderator over there told me he has contacted both FMCA and Michelin management about the deal, but did not offer any further details other than "stay tuned".

Great! I just missed the boat. Got my last threads just last month ago. Oh. well.

Now if FMCA can work out a deal with a dealer for tire monitoring, see-level or Progressive Ind. for some much needed discounts in other areas of mainstream Rv demand.

Well this is good news. It is my chance to replace the 4 rear duals to match the XZA's that I put on the front last summer.

I checked with the local Michelin dealer yesterday, and of course he hadnt heard of the Motor Coach program. I did get the retail price on 275/80 R22.5 XZA3, load range H tires. It is $498.99 + $34.59 FET = $533.58.

If one uses the 55% discount rate, that would be $240.11 per tire (includes discounting the FET, which may not discount-able).

Or, $960.44 for 4 tires (not including mounting and balancing, or sales tx).

My editing time limit expired, here is an addition to my previous post...

The dealer did mention that the Motor Coach Program sounded like the "Advantage Program" which is a program to deeply discount tires without having to have a purchase quota like a "National Account" requires. He mentioned that the Advantage Program was good for the dealer because the dealer made a reasonable profit and good for the customer because they received a very good discount.

If the Motor Coach Program is similar to the Advantage Program, it is good to know that the dealer will be happy to provide the discount to us.

Well, this is good news. We just joined FMCA and in just about 3 weeks we'll get our membership card. We need 2 front Michelins before we take off for the summer...and as Martha would say, "It's a GOOD thing".

BTW, speaking of Martha, did you know that back in the mid '60s, she mistakenly married 'Bibendum', the Michelin Man? Back then, when she was just getting started in her clothing line, she became infatuated with the Stay Puft man thinking he could help keep her fabrics soft but crisp. Before she realized her mistake, she and Bibendum were wed. I guess I can see how the mistake was made from these early '60s photos....

At any rate, the deed was done. Sometime in 1965 the couple were blessed with a bouncing baby boy...

And that right there changed the whole direction of her career. She 'tired' of the clothing industry and got into the food industry, of which made her rich and famous. Of course she did not do it without help from various sources, but not limited to...

Well, her business and personal life was beginning to flourish and became very fruitful...

There ya go, some little know facts...mainly 'cause I just made 'em up. Bob

I just called the local dealer in my area. I asked if they knew about the FMCA/Michelin deal and was told, "we don't do that." I guess I will call the number listed on the OP.
