When you send a Glympse message, the maximum watch time allowed on the menu is 4hr, so I just send another message as required. A Glympse link is built right into Navigon and we use that most of the time on one of our phones when we are moving and when we stop for the night we give another glympse SMS or email message. (You can choose options on this). Our kids like being kept informed of our whereabouts when we are on the road.

The advantage of Glympse is it provides speed and direction info and lets people actually see the blue dot move down the road (on a background map of course).

It does require your GPS to be on which, unless you on an external power source, it will run batteries down. Of course in the RV or car, that is not an issue. We are always connected to power when possible.

When we are meeting people or going to thier house etc, we send a Glympse message so they can track our progress also.

We also use life 360 on another device at the same time we are running glympse, it shows yours and other members of your select group where members are all the time as long as the phones are on. This is based on cell tower info, not gps but it is pretty good general info, and here is no watch time limit. Life 360 does not provide speed and direction info.
