Missing Camper

Not sure if this is right forum for this, if not modertor please move it.

Father of receptionist at my company hasn't been heard from in 12 days. Last known location was MT. Charleston in Tioyabe national forest outside Las Vegas. Any ideas on who/where to call to start tracking him down? Driving a 2010 Winnebago Tour with AZ plates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will, now have LV detective working on it also.

Update:

Forest service found him @ campsite, had been in hospital, lost his cell phone, just got back to campsite.

All's well.

Speaking as a police dispatcher (Retired) Police are good, and I assume they have been contacted.. (Since it says Forest service is looking for them).. They usually put out either a area (part of state) or statewide broadcase.. On TV you always hear "APB" and APB (All points bulletin) means EVERY law enforcement agency, boarder crossing, and several related but non law enforcement "points" in this nation along with some in other countries as well.

Very very rare.

This forum... IS "All points". and thus posting in assorted forums is a very good way to assist the police.

IF you find the RVer in question.. Two choices depending on the situtation.. Direct contact.. Buzz the fuzz.

Great all worked ok and the gent was located and all is fine.

I thought I would share what we do to ensure our loved ones know where we are while we are on the road.

We use the "glympse" app on our phones. This allows us to send applicable SMS or email messages to predetermined or selected people with our coordinates, or if the app is set to the track mode, people that WE HAVE AUTHORIZED can tell where we are at any time. If we are moving, it even provides our speed, direction of travel plus provides our coordinates with an auto lookup link using google maps.

There are many apps that do this but "Glympse" works good for us.

Our children can check were we are at any time as long as I have the tracker turned on. And we send an auto message every night that tells them where we are when on the road. If they can't see our location with a "glympse" enquiry, or have not heard from us for a day, they send a message or call to see what is up.

Wondered if others use this or similar apps.

Glympse

Re:Glympse. Checked on the app. some stated that it had a four hour time frame. Is that your experience? Do you just use it at the end of the day?
