Have to watch out for us 49-50cc scooter afiacandos. I have one because 1oo+mpg compared to gas guzzling 7 mpg Moho, and saving $$$$ with no toad. And yes I do have respect for the same laws that other drivers are suppose to follow. The other great thing about the moped is the 110 lbs it weighs. so it don't stress mounting them on a bumper, just be careful seen a few rvs with plastic sewer hose holders instead of metal bumpers. If I am banned from the use of my moped/scooter in campgrounds, then will search for the ones that will allow it. Irover

We have friends that have done extensive traveling with their Vespa on the rear of their MH. It's the one with the larger engine and they said that they have no trouble keeping up with traffic (riding 2 up). The only complaint is when it rains and even that doesn't seem to slow them down from enjoying the sites...go for it! Bob

We have a Kymco 250 Bet & Win (2007) Awesome Scooter... easily handles both of us on highways and local traffic... the gas mileage is endless, it seems! No problem getting parts, so far (Brakes, Air filter, spark plugs)
Downside of any scooter/cycle is it gets cold and wet when the weather is cold or wet! We have rain gear and heavy jackets, etc... but, it can get cold and wet!!!!
We have a VersaHaul Lift on our back hitch.... works very easily

We don't have anything like that yet, but I've also had interest in either a 49cc moped or a three-wheeled motorcycle which looks really reallly cool, and a bit safer for me. (although that changes towing issues, etc.). For now, we are using our bicycles, or renting a convertible or little car whenever we reach a location we ar staying for a few days.

We have a Honda Ruckus we bought and carry on a tilting rack on the back of the MH. Great little scooter. Has wider tires and works well on trails and the dirt/gravel parks. Gets about 100 MPG and tops out at 45 MPH with a light rider. VERY solidly made. Works well for us. Also, because it is under 50CC (49.9) it does not require licensing and insurance in most states. Mine is however licensed and insured.
