Over the winter, i decided it was time to replace the fabric headboard on our bed. I wanted a panel type headboard and found this one at a reasonable price. I finally got the chance to install it today while I was in the process of de-winterizing and sanitizing etc. I cut the legs off to match the headboard, and attached it to the wall with a french cleat. Because the DW wanted to leave the existing mirrors above the headboard, I had to install the cleat towards the bottom of the headboard. Not a big problem, I just had to add a couple of screws at the top of the headboard to keep it against the wall. I filled the holes with 3/8 wood plugs. I'll keep an eye on it for a while, but I don't believe its going anywhere. I'm pleased with the outcome. Although it is a couple of shades lighter than the cabinetry, it seems to work and much nicer than the original fabric headboard. The vertical striping in the raised panels is actually exaggerated in the pictures. Its really not that pronounced.

Any area you'd like to see more of? what I used was EMT, 1 each 10' length of 1/2" and 3/4" cut in half....the fit between the two sizes isn't the best, so I cut 2 !" wide strips of shrink wrap to keep 'em from rattling, while traveling, and made sure that when extended out, the shrink wrap stayed inside the larger section.....the upper pivot point I used was the bolt that the awning pivots on, just a little longer stainless bolt and lock nut. The bottom store bolt is a bolt that has a lot of unthreaded shank, then cut off head and excess, drilled a hole for a hairpin.............The stained glass window is real...I've attended 2 Forest River Owners rallies, one in Nashville, and one in Mt. Airy NC....At the Mt. Airy rally, we had a yard sale and there it was! Snapped it right up!.......Every year at Forest Rivers rally in Eckert they have vendors sell'n their wares, and another fellow had bought this one and then updated camper and wouldn't fit, so his loss, my gain.

...............This next winter when I go back to Quartzite, I'll be changing both awning and deflapper poles to telescopic aluminum square tubing and will be adding led lights internally to the deflapper poles.......now they are external.........also have added another rear electric stabilizer to just in front of front axle, and added 3 JR Products compartments, 1 at each location, for switches....so front landing gear switch is inside a compartment with lock'n door as other 2 are.........have added two small hinges to vent door for inside range hood, now door (flap} will be there at end of trip!.........Hard plumbed galley tank valve to front grey tank dump valve....galley handle was hard to get to as it was under slide.....will also be adding dusk to dawn sensor for all awning led lights.....have already converted all to RF controller along with slide

Spare time & Camp Freightliner

Just got back home from Camp Freightliner in Gaffney, SC. Stayed so busy in classes that I couldn't take the factory tour, but I wanted to take a minute to toot their horn at the Oasis Factory Service Center! Pat Chandler is a master at getting you scheduled with their techs, and their Techs are just super. (Still haven't figured out how they keep the floor of the shop clean enough to eat off of!) They performed a recall to replace my front sway bar and end links I didn't know needed to be done, replaced my pinion seal on the differential, and corrected an alignment problem created by a local dealer trying to align it right after I bought it. Talk about a transformation, it drives so much better now, all thanks to techs Ronnie and Jeff! Kudos to you guys!
And major thanks to Mike Cody, the factory trainer for the techs, and the "professor" of Camp Freightliner. What a magnificent job he does in providing folks with the proper service information, tips and tricks for proper operation of the motorhome from how to maximize economy, to the necessary pre and post trip checks to maximize longevity and safety! If you ever have a chance to attend one of his schools, it is nothing but top rate, first class. You will be super glad you did!

Yes they are......had to get creative with the wiring though as the kit is made for bumper pulls....had to hide wiring, so right in back of pin box, right where my satellite cables attach, I drilled thru and snaked 5 wires through on inside

Mod to my rear tv
I removed the rear tv (about 40 lbs) and cabinet next to the tv, installed new back board for the new locking MorRide bracket, new side trim to clean it up from the old wallpaper, new 10lb 31" led tv, new blue ray player, old wii and NES game systems for when it is raining and we can't go hiking. Also replaced a double light with an led light while I had it apart. I hope you like it, as we sure do since the old tv had wavy lines all the time.
