New striping on 2001 Allegro Bus

Got our coach back from getting restriped. Went from basic bleached, faded no color to bright happy color stripes!

For me, bling is better than blah. I was bummed that I asked for metal dust vinyl and didn't get it. Wanted sparkly red and copper! I would hate to mistake my coach for someone else's.

You go girl.
That is why my wife wanted flames on ours. It goes with her car with ghost flames. Click image for larger version

I love looking at this thread and checking out all the amazing work everybody has done, I'm a but humbled by my half finished ideas now but hey, like a gaming computer the RV is never finished, only between upgrades

We hated the dinette booth that our RV came with, we were always bumping into each other trying to pass. So I shortened the table and pulled out the seats. I used the chair that used to be by the door as a desk chair:

I have no idea why they like to put the TV in the dash of these, but that had to go. I re-cased my PC into an HTPC case and put it in the space, with a storage/charge station too:

I moved the TV to across from the couch where I can see it, but my entertainment center is on hold for now.

I added a solar kit and inverter, a color backup camera, and a bunch of other stuff I haven't uploaded pics of yet. I'll take some time out to one of these days

You are absolutely correct. I does stand out and the amount of color is not overwhelming. Will be looking for you on the road.

Bedroom Storage Cabinets

You never have enough storage space in a motor home! I had thought that we plenty until we Wintered in Florida for 3 ½ month this year. The one area that the new coaches had more cabinet space than my 2007 Revolution was in the bedroom. At first we were just going to replace the TV (which I had never turned on since the purchase inspection) but then I realized that a much bigger impact could be made with the addition of the tall vertical cabinets on either side of the window. Another benefit of removing the TV was that the window valance was now fully exposed. My wife was very happy about that.

The cabinet boxes went very quickly as I had fabricated lots of kitchen cabinets in the past. The raised panel doors were whole different matter as I had never done this style of door before. I wanted to match the original doors as closely as possible but quickly found that the outer edge of the door was simply not available from any source online. The rail, style and raised panel shapes were very close enough to the originals that it does not catch my eye when I walk by. I bought these from an online vendor for $125 for the 3 shaper bits. I then remembered that I had a Craftsman shaper attachment for my table saw (I bought it 40 years ago!) and found that one set of the replaceable bits was sort of close to what I needed for the outside edge. I have a Bridgeport vertical milling machine that is CNC controlled and I was able to very carefully measure the outer edge of the door and then write a program to machine each of the 3 cutter bits to the exact shape required. It took longer to stain, finish and assemble the doors than it did to actually cut the wood to size. I won’t go into the details.

We love how it all turned out. There is about 12 cubic feet of additional total storage space in the 3 cabinets. My wife gets the tall cabinets as she can’t see into the cabinet over the window. Hopefully they will eliminate the clutter that the counter was previously used for. I put way to much time into this project, but I like a good challenge. I’d give it a 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. I probably should have ordered the 3 cabinets from a kitchen shop but I knew that the doors wouldn’t be a perfect match.

We gutted about 60% of a 1989 class c before starting from scratch. We replaced the disgusting smoke smelling carpeting with vinyl flooring. We removed two twin beds and moved the dinette into the bedroom. We made the over cab bed into the main bed by replacing the mattress with a thick memory foam mattress. We added 660w of solar panels, 520 AH of batteries and a 3000W inverter. We replaced the air conditioner with a turboKool evaporative cooler that we could run while boondocking.

Up next is painting the exterior but we're still researching the best way to do that.

That's about all I can think of now but all of the pictures are here: https://therecklesschoice.com/category/modifications/

My husband and neighbor (who had replaced his headlights on F250) got the new headlights I bought installed and I took the opportunity to paint the plastic rim with the truck bed liner spray paint.
