More than you ever wanted to know about the MECHANICS OF PNEUMATIC TIRES

There has been a lot of discussion about which tire to use and why. Some with motorhomes are switching to OTR truck tires instead of MH tires because of price. Some with trailers debate whether to use bias-ply tires or radial-ply tires, and whether to use Special Trailer tires or Light Truck tires.

If you want to spend a little time reading this scientific-based material, I'm sure it will clarify much of the confusion and personal opinions. It certainly did for me.

Most people do not have much of an idea as to what goes into making a tire and that certainly explains a lot of it.

Thanks Ray. That's a lot of info, it'll make good reading material as I try to digest it all.

It does contain a lot of information. While it does not address putting pure nitrogen in tires, it does debunk the reasoning.
