This guy was taking his coach to get it serviced, but it looks like he will not need it now. He was going down the road and smelled smoke, by the time he got it stopped he had a fire going. It was from the fridge. He does have insurance and they are going to take care of it.

Egad, I have a hunch there was a pending recall on that fridge.

I wouldn't imagine he had the fridge running if he were taking it in for service, especially if it was for the recall work on the fridge. Sure is scary. John H...

The fridge had to be operating for a heat source. Sounds like operator error if he was going in for a recall. Of course that's speculation.

Hello all, Am sending along some pictures of a motor home that was totaled by fire. This was owned by Ed, a friend from Cherry Branch and he was on his way to get it serviced a little over a week ago. He managed to get it parked in the new shopping area in Morehead City across the 4 lane from Belk's. The fire was caused by the refrigerator in the gas mode. He smelled some smoke and in no time at all, it was roaring. Anyone with a gas option fridge sould check for recalls, etc. As you can imagine, this could have a tradgedy with his wife & dogs in the middle of the night. It looks like his insurance will take care of it.

Hope you're having a better weekend than he did

This was from my friend in New Bern. It does seems the fridge was working on gas.
