The place I stayed at you would allow the spot to be rented when you weren't there to defray some of the costs. Not sure you can operate at a profit though..

Radar - have a great trip! That sounds fantastic! Would love to go there. We visit the Coachella valley every year so we will surely run into you one of these days! Love Palm Desert shopping, restaurants. Palm Springs has lots of interesting things to do/see. Hiking nearby. Absolutely love the area and like your thoughts about outdoor resorts and why you bought there. Makes good sense.
