Motorhomes or RV's
I'm gonna ask a question that struck a nerve on another Forum. My post is "Under Review" there.
When did the Motorhome crowed decide that they own RV's and not motor homes?
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Motorhome with slide-out extended floors
"RV" redirects here. For research vessels, see R/V. For other uses, see RV (disambiguation).
A recreational vehicle (RV) is a motor vehicle or trailer which includes living quarters designed for temporary accommodation.[1][2] Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, caravans (also known as travel trailers and camper trailers), fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers and truck campers.

You trying to complicate my life? I still don’t know if I drive a truck, 4X4, or motor vehicle. Not sure I understand the question or thought, and how it relates to whether I need an rv or residential fridge to drink cold beer.

All Motorhomes are RV's but not all RV's are Motorhomes. Kinda like all Cokes are colas but not all colas are Cokes.

Come on, everyone knows that trailers are not vehicles so they should never be considered RVs!
Besides, my RV is a motor coach, not a motor home!

Well, it matters very much when someone asks a question on the general forum and is asking for help on a certain matter and does not have a signature line for the readers to understand the TYPE of vehicle in question.
A 5th wheel, trailer, or motorhome can make a very big difference in the answer.
I started this because a poster said he had 3 motorhomes in the past but this was his first RV. I had no idea what the hell he was talking about.

Exactly. RV stands for Recreational Vehicle.

I think the OP has it backwards. Some questions are motor home or fiver or pull behind specific so we use the generic for them. Other problems cross over all types of recreational vehicles so many of us use the term RV.
It often is much less confusing if one takes the trouble to use the correct common term for the type of vehicle or subsystem. Failure to do so often gets some very strange answers.
