my stabilizer jack get stuck on the jack pad

Finally got to take our 83 Pace Arrow camping but as we were breaking camp the rear stabilizer jack got hung up on the jack pad, dug into it and wouldn't go up, and had to jack the motor-home up to get the jack up.

Is this common and if so how do I avoid it? If case it matter the new jack pads are those orange plastic one from Camping World.

So the stabilizer ram pad penetrated the plastic CW jack pad you place on the ground and got stuck to the ram pad? I have fairly small ram pads on our stabs and never had a problem with them sticking to the jack. I usually have to dig out the plastic pad out of the soft dirt. If the pressure cracked the pads, take 'em back to CW...that shouldn't happen. Bob

Hi kartvines,
My pads are 1" thick. The ones mentioned in the OP are 1/2" thick. Consider a pad at least 1" thick.

Sir, what I use on my rig is 2 1ft long 2X12 pressure treated lumber. I glued and screwed them together. I have three sets. That give me an approx 3 inch rise to rest the jacks on. I added screen door handles to grab with the awning pole. It helps put them in place and to remove them and carry them. I got my material from a construction site scrap pile. Handles at the hardware. Just what I did, may help you out some.
