Myths about RVing ... What are yours?

While here I think we've all read some myths about RVing. Some of mine are below. What are yours?

Myths ...

The video below disproves two:
1.Water in your tanks sloshes around a lot possibly causing instability. The guy in the video says he had to drive very erratically to get it to move.
2.Ice in your black water tank cleans it

3. You can change some thing by complaining about it on a forum.

4. My dog never barks or bites - this when it just happened (I don't own a dog).

5. A full tank of fresh water will decrease your mpg a lot. Technically speaking it may have an effect but probably small. A head wind and speed probably have the greatest effect.

You save money owning a Motorhome rather than staying in a hotel.

It's perfectly legal to set up a Montana LLC to own your RV to avoid sales tax. No research required.

Drawing your batteries below 50% state of charge is sudden death for them.

Connecting a older " good " battery to a new battery will suck the life out of the new one.

Setting your air brake equiped parking brake, while rolling down the road, will put you in a tire locked, skidding spin.

50 amp campground service is special and RV specific.

Leaving your waste tank valves open means a plugged tank.

Diesel coaches can go 1,000,000,000,000,000 miles and back without needing service.
They need 5,000,000,000 to break in though.

Gas coaches are louder than a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral.

Sure can, I do, just don't flush excess toilet paper down, use the trash can.

Buying a new RV from a dealer at retail price is better because it won't have any problems.
