NADA RV low retail or wholesale?

When looking up my coach in the NADA book it shows Low Retail and Avg Retail but no wholesale. Dealers keep talking about wholesale so I'm wondering how close Low Retail might be to their wholesale.

Or is there another place to find out wholesale on RVs?

NADA wholesale is called the 'Black Book'. Approximately 25% less than NADA low retail.

Does retail = highNada, or is retail somewhere between low and high Nada based on judgment?

The NADA book for RV's and marine is just a work of fiction. The National Auto Dealer Association in Kansas City doesn't check retail sales numbers or auction prices and perform fair market analysis. Their business is coming up with car/truck prices, and they're not even that good at that.

Banks and credit unions use the NADA book to substantiate the amount they advanced on a RV loan to bank auditors/examiners. It may not be correct or even close to accurate, but it's still all financial institutions have. In my learned eyes, the prices posted are too high.

Use the internet to see what comparable RV's are pulling on the used market. Knowing what you're buying and the competition out in the retail market is the best way of getting a fair deal.

I worked in mass auto financing for 24 years, and carried a NADA book at all times. I wish that our repossessions pulled the NADA price--or even 60% of the posted values.

Know where you're coming from Bamaman. I worked in a credit union for 20 years and we were lucky if our repos brought even 50% of what was still owed on it, but as you stated NADA was all we had to go by. Worked most of the time even though we didn't loan full retail.
