NASCAR Fans:

Presentely sitting at American RV Park right on I40 in Albuquerque, Nm. As I sit here drinking coffee the NASCAR trucks are passing by one by one. The race in Fontana is over and they are relocating for the next one at Martinsville, Va.

I expect to see some driver coaches go by but I'll bet the drivers are at home and will fly out there.

All the big name drivers fly to the race tracks and fly home right after the race I think most of the drivers own their own lear jets
They have someone drive and set up their Coaches for them at the track.

Kind of takes all the fun out of it. I'd pay to see Jeff Gordon or Joey Logano set up their own motorhomes.

We are going to our first Nascar Sprint Cup race in May at Talladega Speedway. We have a spot on the infield so I will take lots of pictures of the drivers coaches and post them here.

The question is: Which tracks offer the best RV experience?
My vote is Michigan Turn 2 retreat with electricity and water.

Dover Rv area is close and good. OK I haven't been to any others except Poccono which seemed like a loooong walk.

I like Martinsville and Richmond for short track excitement. These are both dry camping which we like for the most part. We did go to Charlotte last year and paid for full hookups. That was great. We could make the drive with just a few gallons of water on board.

First NASCAR race is the infield at 'Dega. Wow....... Hide the women and children! I survived the snake a pit in all it's glory at Indy, but never had the gumption to go to 'dega, much less the infield. I've been to the Rock, Charlotte, and Atlanta for NASCAR........ "Threating" my wife about doing the night race at Bristol now that we have the MH. Have fun, and don't base your perspective, good or bad, based on this one (probably never to be forgotten) experience.
