Will break from it for a second. Custer State Park and Rushmore are my favorites so far. Both are easy for you as you head to Glacier.

It has been more than a decade since I've been there, but as I recall, the Going to the Sun highway in Glacier is not/might not be recommended for large vehicles (someone correct me if I'm not remembering correctly). Last time I was there you needed to go to the top via that highway as a good starting point for what to do. There are countless hiking trails, but watch for grizzly bears.

I drove beartooth highway in a car. That is the best way to enter Yellowstone. Lot of Buffalo's and wildlife. I remember seeing a few rv's but better wait for someone that actually has done it to answer. I do know it is about 11,000 feet and a lot of switchback roadway but it seemed do able. Maybe not in a 40 footer but class c 30 ft probably.

Mesa Verde in SW Colorado. Beautiful mountains, ancient cliff dwellings.
Plus my son is a law enforcement NPS ranger there...

We've been to 38 NPs in the five years we owned our last RV. As you would imagine, some are more spectacular than others, but one thing for sure, they're all NPs for a reason. Each park was very special in their own right.
GNP is one of the more spectacular...Going to the Sun road is a must do in the toad. Dead Horse Res. is a good ride if you take some of the dirt road offshoots. We saw moose and a couple nice waterfalls. Also, Many Glacier is a good day trip as well...saw our first grizzly. If you're into rafting, there are lots of venues to pick from.
The first time we were there(Columbia Falls), we got caught in a mud storm...darnedest thing I ever saw. There was a high level dust storm that ran into a rainstorm and it rained mud that the wipers couldn't keep up with...that a mess - but glad to have witnessed the event.
We stayed on the West side of the park to be close to Columbia Falls and other attractions. Lots of nice CGs.

Your MH is to big for the Going to the Sun road. They have free shuttles so take one of those.
As far as favorite N.P. where do I start.
Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier, Zion, Bryce, North Rim Grand Canyon, Tetons, Arches, and the list goes on. Lets just say I've never been in a N.P. and said I'll never come back here.

We were at Mesa Verde last month. Amazing place!
And, amazingly enough, you can just drive up and get a campsite.

Glacier is our backyard and you will love it. Even though we live on the west side, our favorite place to go is Two Medicine on the east side. Many Glacier is also great, but can be difficult to find a site for larger rigs. September used to be very easy to get a site, but not so anymore. We see lots more shoulder season travelers. If you have time and passports, Canada is also beautiful from the border to Jasper. We have only been here 60 years so we haven't been able to see all of Glacier yet. No matter how much time you have, you'll have to miss something. Definitely do the shuttle. Easiest place for large rigs like yours is Apgar. Enjoy.

I would be concern with driving a large vehicle thru there. There are some tight spots and some areas that rocks hang over the road. Very nice drive though. Check out Long Long Honeymoon on YouTube. If my memory serves me correctly they have a video of their drive through the park with suggestions. Have fun.

If I remember correctly there is a 28ft limit on going to the sun and we were there last summer and would not do it in a 28ft. Many real tight turns for a motorhome .

You can't take your motorhome on Going to Sun road due to length restrictions. Apgar campground, near the west entrance, is your best chance at a camping space inside the park, unless you have reservations. Take the shuttle bus, your toad, or one of the Red car tours to explore. Be prepared for lots of people, the park is having a record number of visitors this year, again!!

Utah is one of our favorite destinations... Pound for pound, eastern Utah can't be beat for "density" of things to see... UT 191 south from I-70 to Moab (Canyonlands and Arches). Then continue south to Bluff (Valley of the Gods, Moki Dugway, Goosenecks, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley and Natural Bridges). Take a look at our website for ideas, http://www.kensbucketlist.com And, we hope you have purchased a Seniors National Park Pass, there's still time to get it for $10.00 versus $80.00... It will save you a boat load of money!! And if you stop in Missoula, the Missoula KOA is very nice!
