National RV Inverter, Converter

I just got a 2002 Tradewinds LE 390 and have taken it in to have electrical worked on and was told my inverter was over charging and ruining my batteries. It currently has a xantrex 81-2022-12 "205" in it. I have found this type for sale on a few sites but they do not have the "205". I found one at Walmart that is labeled:
Xantrex 81-2022-12 Inv/Chgr, Free-458 2000W 12V 100A M-Sine.
Does anyone know if this would be a plug in replacement?
Thank you so much for your help, this is driving me crazy as I'm working with chemo brain.

Before you swap the inverter/charger, have the guy working on it, unplug the battery temperature sensor from the inverter. Its a phone jack looking thing.

When they go bad, the charge high or low, depending on what happens to them.

You can use it without it and see if it charges properly.

If all works without it, you can buy a replacement sensor for 20 bucks.

Hi Bill! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I can't answer the inverter question but noticed you are kinda new on the forum and wanted to say hello! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
