Mark, the Escapees is a well-known organization for full time RVers. They provide mail handling and other services, but I don't believe they provide any type of RV warranty. (Of course, I'm not an Escapee, so I could be totally wrong about that.) I'd suggest you go to their website and check them out; they also have a forum. Good luck.

We have been members of Escapees since 2006. It is a great RV organization. Although most of their members are full-timers, they provide support to all RVers. They have numerous discounted RV parks throughout the south and southwest, they provide mail forwarding services, and they provide advocacy support for issues that effect all RVers.

The warranty you refer to is probably offered by an advertiser in the magazine. If you give us the name of the company offering the warranty, maybe someone who has experience with that company will chime in.

Mark, a 1996 Winnebago is 17 years old, not 10. Many 'Service Plans' (They are NOT warranties,) are limited to less than 15 year old models and less than 80,000 miles. Whatever service plan you look into, you'll need to see if your riq can qualify and then READ all the fine print, exclusions and coverage. Those things are written by experts who can seem like they are promising the world when they are actually offering very little.

Yes, Mark, if you did qualify, I can imagine a 4,000-6000 per year price tag, far more than you would probably spend, but when you find out if they will indeed write you a policy, let us do some research on the company. Keep us posted and I will find out as much as I can to help you.

BFlinn, I think he was saying that his coach is older than 10 years, not 10 years old. But my statement still stands, I think it would be so cost prohibitive to him it wouldn't be worth it.
