Need organizational ideas for dinette booth

We have minimal cabinets in our TT which my dishes and books are in. So I use one of the dinette booths as my "pantry". Can it be a hassle? Yes. But what's done is done and this is what we have. So.... do you have any recommendations on how to keep it organized?

Half of the space under the booth is taken up by a small computer printer. It's mostly baking supplies down there, some different oils, some spare items for when we run out of those things in the fridge like pickles, olives, pesto, then also pasta, we don't use hardly any canned vegetables we like fresh produce.

It just always seems so unorganized and I'm always rifling through trying to find what I need. There has got to be a better way! LOL

As always thanks again for any ideas!

My first thought was to put the books down there and move some things in upper cabinet. Do you read all those books at once?

Will like items fit in a tote that you can lift out easily? Put your baking supplies in one; oils in one; replenishable items in another. Even if you don't lift them out they will still be in the same place all the time when you go to get one. That is, if you return it to the same place. Even a sturdy canvas bag with handles would work to keep things together & easy to lift out.

Do you have countertop room to put a nice-looking tote containing the cooking supplies or the oils? Perhaps a bright color to liven up the RV? Then when traveling you'd just have to set it on the floor for travel.

Good luck!

I second the books go somewhere else. How many books do you need. Or how many books do you have in the RV at one time? There is no really good way to store extra things. Totes or baskets seem to be the best. Digging through the dinette seat seems like a chore if it done more than once a week.

We have a kindle and I hate it. It strains my eyes too much. Books are only in 1 small cabinet, doesn't even take up much space in there. There are other misc things in with the books. Kind of a catch all cabinet.

I do like the idea of the totes. baking supplies in one tote, etc... hmmmmm I like it.

I saw a previous post where they used the newspaper crates and made them into a sliding drawer. That would work for you too.

I have to second this. A Kindle Paperwhite has a backlit screen for illumination, and you can adjust the size of the font to make it much easier to see if it strains your eyes. You can carry almost an entire library sitting on the nightstand.

Go to container store. Purchase containers for each type of storage you need. They should be a type that nests and the big one should wedge into your seat. When you need an item, pop the top and remove the boxes to find it. Then return the boxes and close the lid. Should have locking tabs to hold it down.

Standardize so you can replace if a box breaks. Note - the plastic boxes provide secondary containment for liquids that leak. Saves cleanup. Pat
