I've got a small crack in my kitchen sink p-trap joint, creating a small minor leak. Could this stuff work for minor plumbing applications?

You can even buy it in just black at Harbor Freight for a very reasonable price.

Great for this application. The commercial states the pipe doesn't even have to be dry (but I would wait till it was).

First time I bought it is in Jan 2008 at a RV Rally.
Now I find it in local hardware stores. It also comes in 2 inch widths.

Yes, that tape is very convenient and works good. Another alternative is "liquid electrical tape". Many suppliers of similar liquid tape products, here is just one for example:
Specialty Adhesives : Permatex® Liquid Electrical Tape

MSHAPPYCAMPERS, OMG, what a product. I have never heard or seen this stuff. I have seen and used rubber tape, but this stuff will be much better. My first project with it will be the rubber boot on the 7 pin plug for the toad. The boot is failing. I put an old one that I had laying in the garage, knowing the boot was going bad.But problem solved. There will be some on order today.
Thaks again for posting.

I bought a roll of this at a boat show about 10 years ago. I had a tear in a rubber boot at the prop shaft which was letting in about 10 gallons of sea water a minute. I temporarily repaired with this type of tape. It lasted the 2 weeks it took to get the boat pulled out of the water to replace the torn rubber boot. I highly recommend the stuff. I have known it as Atomic tape or Tommy tape.
