Let the insurance adjuster do his job and give you what is fair market value for repairs, then make decisions on what you want to replace or upgrade.

I had an awning billow out on me. The adjuster gave me $1800 to replace the awning and arms. I found out that an exact awning and arms would cost around $800 installed. I called the adjuster and he said he just went by his book and that I was one of the fortunate ones in the settlement. I upgraded the awning and still had dinner on him.

Can you think of a reason why insurance costs so much??

That's my fear Wayne. I don't want my rates to go up. I have 3 other vehicles insured with State Farm and I would rather pay anything less than a certain amount myself than turn it in and have my rates go up on all vehicles.

Sometimes, on short, limited access streets, the warning signs are at the entrances to the street - such as "height restriction ahead" and such - but you'd think there would be one on or near the bridge as well...

We ended up at Fla-Net in Netcong. The drive as it turns out is not that bad... about 37 miles and not bad traffic. Beautiful park

Ted, you would want to make sure the clearance lights, antennas, satellite cables and sure are working. If so then you can make repairs in the range of $1000-$1500 with a partial reroof and reattach things.
