Nice job! We are planning to replace those mirrors also. Annette hates them! Also plan to get rid of the large mirror on the wall between the fridge and dinette!

Looks great.

What glue did you use.

Thanks - Richard

Richard it was a premixed thin set type adhesive that was recommended by the tile manufacturer. The worst part was getting the mirrors off.I used a heat gun and wood wedges.Took about an hour and a half but came off clean.

Before I checked your profile I recognize that kitchen area because it was identical to mine, a Dolphin. Well in recent weeks I just finished doing our kitchen at home, so now I’m thinking about doing the coach. After seeing yours and knowing how you removed your mirrors I’ll probably consider it in the spring. How thick are your tiles? I prefer something thin to reduce the weight. It looks great!

Tiles are approx. 3/8" thick. They are travertine so they are fairly light. We started to use the small glass tiles but I remodeled our house kitchen a couple of years ago and used the same tile. The wife liked it so we used it in the MH.

What held the mirrors on the wall?
Silicone?

If you like the look, Home Depot has some nice peel-and-stick stainless steel backsplash tiles. We installed them over our mirrors.

There were 2 strips of a black mastic type tape, one about 2" down from top and one about 2" up from the bottom, then silicone randomly smeared between the two strips.

We thought about putting something like laminate or stainless over the mirrors, but our mirrors had a beveled edge.It would have left a gap between the edge of the mirror and the back of the stainless. If the mirrors had been flat I would have gone with stainless.

How about using 2 1" squares of double sided Gorilla tape? Changing tiles could even be seasonal if desired.
