New Class A, need everything. What are essential?

We just purchased our new Tiffen 32SA and will need all the accessories!

From sewer hose to camping mats.
Anything not obvious you feel is a "must have"??

A high quality surge protector to protect your coach (either standalone or hardwired) like those offered by Progressive Industries or Surge Guard is essential.

X 2! on the Progressive Industries EMT!
If you have a gas oven...get a "toaster oven" baking set and the heavy red colored silicone baking mats (just cut down to fit)
A good quality set of fry pans and pots
A small crock pot that will fit in the sink for fix'n a stew while you are traveling...
a set of pyrex (or similar) cassorole dishes
top of the stove percolator coffee pot
A BIG package of paper plates and bowls

A good quality stinky slinky (with a short clear connector so you can tell when the black tank is clean)
Don't forget the RV TP!
30' to 50' length of water hose, a fresh water pressure regulator, (AND get at least a wallyworld inline water filter)
a 30' power cord extension, just in case the power pedestal is a bit too far.
collapsible shovel,a good hatchet (or axe), a "bow saw" and a sturdy garden rake..
A collapsible 5 gallon bucket.....when you need to tote stuff, is handy
IF...You have a gasser MOHO..A couple of jugs of Sta-Bil gas treatment..and use it!
I'm sure others can fill in the blanks.

Lightbulb Some Items I have

I carry some basic tools like plyers, etc. You will need a screw driver with the square head as screws loosen up on the road. I carry an extending windshield Squeegee to clean bugs off every night. I carry a small barbecue with briquettes. I have a small air compressor. I have a rug for outside the steps to keep from tracking so much dirt in. I have a tire gauge, whisk broom and tire checking bat. A rug to kneel on if I need to. Hose pressure regulator. Water filter. Water hose. Black tank sprayer. Rubber gloves for drain hoses. That's just a little of it.

All of the above......... I would add a fan upgrade for the bathroom as in toilet. I installed a Vortex 1 speed that is so far superior it makes the original look really sad; and not that $$$. Another is TPMS for all the reasons. One more is a lock modification to your awning to keep it from unfurling in high winds while driving down the road, not fun. there is a plethora of items that you will just figure out. Have fun!!

All good and important suggestions above. I would add
1. A good attitude and the ability to take deep breaths once and a while
2. a small step stool. Ours folds into a small table to use by the campfires.
3. Duct tape
4. Short second hose to use for dump hose wash out
5 zip ties
6. Outdoor mat
7. Number ONE on the list....a corkscrew for the multiple bottles of wine you will be consuming.

Good luck!

From a former fulltimer:

1. 25' water hose X2
2. 30' of sewer hose (I like the Valterra Dominator hoses. They come in a 15' + 5' combo pack and a 10' extension. Get the end caps as well.)
3. At least a 25' 50 amp extension cord.
4. A few blocks to use as jack pads. You may need them to put under the wheels for really unlevel spots as well.
5. A water filtration system. It's good to have a particulate filter and carbon filter. If you are used to softwater, then a water softener make be a good addition. Visit the rvwaterfilterstore.com for some ideas.
6. Have (or do it yourself) a Progressive Industries HW50C installed. This is to protect your electrical system and all the goodies powered by it.
7. A tool kit. You need to have at least some basic tools for fixing things that happen.
8. A multimeter (Volt, Ohms, Amps) to check electrical connections.
9. Kitchen stuff should be left to the person who does the cooking.

Have fun shopping and stay away from Camping World. They have all the things that you really don't need. Your best shopping places are Amazon, Walmart, and places like the RVupgradestore.com.

And don't forget your cell phone and credit cards.

One thing my DW absolutely loves for fast cooking is an Insta-Pot. Available at Amazon and Walmart. This one item replaces crockpot and other small devices I know nothing about. Makes a chicken dinner from raw to delicious in about 25 minutes.

No, I am not affiliated with them in any way. This is a product every RV should have!

New Class A, need everything. What are essential?

Funny thing about posts like this. Essential? I have been on the road full time for 6 years and over 100,000 miles. Most of what has been listed I don’t have or need.

Personally I would start with post #6 suggestions. Add a tool box and hit the road. You will figure it out soon enough.

Electrical
1) A Surge Guard or Progressive EMS (portable or installed)
2) A 50 or 30 amp extension depending on your system
3) A 50 to 30 and/or a 30 to 15/20 adaptors

Water
1) A 25 foot white drinking water hose. Two hoses would be better
2) A water pressure regulator or system
3) A water filter system (beware of rvwaterfilterstore.com bad customer service)

Sewer
1) A 25 foot gray hose to flush your black tank. Two is better
2) A sewer hose kit (at least 10 or 15 feet) including all attachments
6) A sewer hose extension of at least 10 or 15 feet

The above are bare necessary essentials.

Next you will need a couple of chairs, an outdoor table, outdoor grill, pots, pans, dishes, cups, tableware, etc. and a large bank account or credit limit.
