New Coach-Net Extended Warranty Available

I just received our new coach-net extended warranty, with Hazard Protect (tire and wheel), Roadside Protect and I have a couple of questions.

1. AMT Warranty Corporation is providing the coverage. Anyone dealt with AMT before?

2. Limitations-full size appliances, washer/dryer, electric/power awnings motor and switch, satellite system, and external entertainment system not covered. Does your policy say this also?

3. Service-For quality maintenance and repair service, return you covered product to the selling dealer. That might not be possible if you buy it several states away from home base. Does your policy say this as well?

4. Arbitration-You agree that, by entering into this contract, you and we are each waiving the right to trial by jury or to participate in a class action. That doesn't sound right. Does you policy restrict you from entering into a class action?

Everything else is pretty much like the other Extended warranty companies, as far as I can tell.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi okie143,
No to all the above. I would not purchase this policy based on the appliance limitation clause. For me, that is why I purchase a policy. For the big problems, not the small irritations.

Can't help with this, have no experience with AMT Warranty Corp.

2. Limitations-full size appliances, washer/dryer, electric/power awnings motor and switch, satellite system, and external entertainment system not covered. Does your policy say this also?

The proposal I have from Coachnet includes a "Luxury Option", which covers: full size appliances, washer/dryer, electric/power awnings, satellite system, and external entertainment system (factory installed and excludes speakers).

3. Service-For quality maintenance and repair service, return you covered product to the selling dealer. That might not be possible if you buy it several states away from home base. Does your policy say this as well?

My Coachnet proposal says the same thing. However, I do not read this as a "requirement" to maintain coverage, just a recommendation. That same section of the contract also reads: "If Your Covered Product breaks down, return to the issuing dealer. If this is not possible, take Your Covered product to ANY LICENSED REPAIR FACILITY (You may contact the Administrator for help in locating a repair facility)."

4. Arbitration-You agree that, by entering into this contract, you and we are each waiving the right to trial by jury or to participate in a class action. That doesn't sound right. Does you policy restrict you from entering into a class action?

My proposal says the same thing. However, it does state that "...either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. This arbitration agreement does not preclude You from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state or local agencies. Such agencies can, if the law allows, seek relief against Us on Your behalf."

Everything else is pretty much like the other Extended warranty companies, as far as I can tell.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
Hope this helps.
